SCIENCE
Throughout my high school career, I have taken five science classes. Freshman year I took general science. General Science taught me about the volcanoes, rocks, and just about the atmosphere in general. As a sophomore, I took biology. In this class we learned about how the components in our body work as a whole and also about the environment. Junior year I enrolled in both Anatomy and Chemistry. In Chemistry, we learned about atoms, the laws that applied to science, and also did many labs that applied to the chapter we were on. In Anatomy, we focused on learning about the bones, muscles, and regions of the human body. This class was very helpful to me because I got the chance to dissect a specimen and see what I had learned first hand. Also, it helped me prepare for the classes I will have to take in college. With pursuing a job as a Physical Therapist, knowing about the human body is very important and a key element of this job. As a senior, I took Zoology. In this class, I have learned about specific organisms and their characteristics. Taking many science class in high school has benefitted me in many way. I have expanded my knowledge in the many categories of the science field, challenged myself, and also got a glimpse of what science classes will be like in college.
