SPORTS

Volleyball & Basketball

Participating in sports has many benefits. Not only do they let you know how out of shape you are, but they teach you important life skills. For example, sports teach you how to work with others. In order to do well, you must work with your teammates instead of against them. Any job that I may withhold in the future will require me to work with my coworkers, and therefore I believe this is a good skill to learn while you’re young.  Not only do you learn to work with others, but you learn to work hard. At a future job, you may strive to reach a certain goal, and in order to get there, you must do your best and work hard. But finally, I believe the best skill sports have taught me is how to fail. Life doesn’t get any easier, only harder. I have learned that you may not always succeed the first time you do something, so you must keep trying until you do. To me, sports have been more than just practices and games; they have been important life skills that have helped prepare me for a future career.
